Sytner Group partners with Shell to support LGBTQ+ community

Following the news that Sytner Group has committed to support Leicester Pride as a headline sponsor for 2022 and 2023, we’re excited to announce that this year we’ll be joined at the event by our long-term partner, Shell Lubricants.

Why Shell?

Shell has a longstanding relationship with the Sytner Group and the value that Shell places on diversity and inclusion in the workplace is aligned with Sytner Group, therefore this is a natural step in the right direction for both businesses.

Inspired by this commitment and our industry, we are delighted to be able to unveil our 2022 Leicester Pride design: Proud.

Patzy Drozdz, Proud@Shell Network Strategic Communications Lead, UK, said: “We are very proud of what we have achieved over the past few years and embrace any opportunity that we have to work in collaboration with others and ensure that individuals can be who they are”.

Embracing Diversity & Inclusion at Sytner Group

Embracing diversity and inclusivity is a core Sytner Group value, so being the first automotive retail group to recruit a Head of Diversity and Inclusion was a major step forward in driving change within the business and beyond.

Jodie Williams, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Sytner Group, said: “We are continuing to build a strong working culture that embraces the communities in which we belong to and are part of. Our involvement in Leicester Pride is just one of the ways we’re looking to support underrepresented groups, as we ultimately want to learn from them to help us shape our business going forward.

“I’m looking forward to the future where we are working with more organisations and programmes, like some of the great partnerships established this year, in order to create a more inclusive workplace for our colleagues.

“I’m proud of all Sytner Group colleagues for fully embracing the changes so far.”
