Sytner Group wins 3 Charity Awards
At the Leicestershire Cares Awards held in September at Winstanley House, Sytner Group took home three awards.
Sytner Group has been partnered with Leicestershire Cares for many years and supports a number of projects across the local community including dealership tours for underprivileged individuals, collections, interviewing in schools support and team challenges to name but a few.
The annual awards event took place with many of the charity’s patrons and stakeholders in attendance to celebrate the on-going support they have given to the local community and we took home the following awards:
Outstanding contribution to Leicestershire Cares
This award recognises the overall commitment from Sytner Group. A special thanks for this award goes to our Group Property Director, Nigel Mills, who sits on the board of Leicestershire Cares and advises on Property and Health and Safety matters.
Outstanding contribution to Bags of Hope
Last year, at Penman Way, colleagues got involved and donated bags of hope and Easter eggs to less fortunate communities in Leicester.
Sytner Group donated over 60 bags of hope, worth around £1,200, and 400 Easter eggs, which were distributed to those less fortunate than ourselves.
Community Development Volunteer of the Year – Francesca Summers
Francesca Summers, Human Resources Project Manager, said: “This award, as with the others, really is a team effort. Nothing would be possible without the support of the colleagues who continue to donate their time and money plus of course, the dedicated Charity Committee here at Penman Way.”
Speaking about the award, Yahya, one of the young men on the Leicestershire Cares programmes that Sytner Group supports, said: “A massive thank you to the team at Sytner Group for organising and inviting us to a brilliant BBQ and raffle, earlier this year, with the funds raised going to Leicestershire Cares. Sytner Group have already sponsored our uniforms and have pledged to sponsor the equipment required to complete our training and for the young people we are supporting. This is a very well deserved award and we very much appreciate all that you do!”
