Consistent with this goal, we have and will continue to take steps to enhance our website and its usability for users of all abilities, including those who rely upon assistive technology. We strive to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) as a minimum. The Sytner website currently scores 83/100 for accessibility using Google's Lighthouse service.

Our next accessibility improvement is to implement correct ARIA labelling to ensure that forms are easier to complete.

There are a number of web tools that you can use to assist you when navigating our website.

For example, https://www.accessibility.com/blog/google-chrome-accessibility-features have great content about the tools available on browsers to assist you.

Websites such as https://speechify.com can help translate written text to speech, if you feel more comfortable listening rather than reading.

AbilityNet are a charity which can assist with understanding how to use computers and Technology.

Additionally, some customer my find text easier to read if screen shaders such this Screen Shader extension are used.

Text size

If you feel that the text on our website is too small and you are struggling to see it, you can change the size by following these steps:

  • Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome: Hold down the CTRL (Command) key and press the +/- keys to zoom in or out of the page.

  • iOS devices (such as iPads, iPhones): Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Slide Larger Text to On.

  • Android devices (such as Samsung, Google Pixel etc.): In Chrome, go to Settings > Accessibility and drag the slider to adjust the size of the text.

If you are using a laptop or desktop computer, you may be able to use the wheel of your mouse: Hold down the ctrl or Command key and turn the wheel.
