Statistics

The A5 Avant provides a choice of four powertrains - two petrol (TFSI S tronic 150 PS, TFSI S tronic 204 PS) and two diesel engines (TDI S tronic 204 PS, TDI S tronic quattro 204 PS).

Opt for the TDI S tronic quattro variant for speed, reaching 0-62 mph in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 150mph.

If efficiency is a priority, consider the A5 Avant TDI S tronic model which achieves 51.4 - 54.3 mpg and emits 231.7-218.9 g/mile of CO2.

All vehicles are tested according to WLTP technical procedures. Figures shown are for comparability purposes; only compare fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles, vehicle load (and, for battery electric vehicles, the starting charge of the battery). Figures for plug-in hybrid vehicles were obtained using a combination of battery power and fuel. Figures for battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. Battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles require mains electricity for charging. Zero emissions while driving. Figures quoted are subject to change due to ongoing approvals/changes and model range figures may include options not available in the UK. Please consult your local Sytner Audi Centre for further information. Data correct at February 2024.

2Range dependent on trim and optional equipment. All vehicles are tested according to WLTP technical procedures. Figures shown are official test values for comparability purposes; only compare electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including but not limited to factory fitted options, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, road and traffic conditions, individual driving styles, vehicle load, vehicle condition, use of systems like climate control (and, for battery electric vehicles, the starting charge, age and conditions of the battery). Figures for battery electric vehicles were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. Battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. Zero emissions while driving. Lithium-ion batteries, of the type used in most electric vehicles (including Audi electric vehicles) have a restricted lifespan. Battery capacity will reduce over time, with use and charging. Reduction in battery capacity will affect the performance of the vehicle, including the range achievable and is one of a numbers of factors that may impact resale value. New car performance figures (including battery capacity and range) may be provided for the purposes of comparison between vehicles. You should not rely on new car performance figures (including battery capacity and range), in relation to used vehicles with older batteries, as they will not reflect used vehicle performance in the real world. For further information on batteries and the Audi 8 year/100,000 mile new car battery warranty, please visit our Battery FAQs. Exclusions and warranty terms apply.

3Timings based on a 0-100% charge using 7kW wall box. Charging time stated based under optimum conditions. Actual charging times will vary depending on various factors, including the selected vehicle (and battery option, if available), the type of charger used, the level of charge in the battery, the age type, condition and temperature of the charger and the battery, the power supply, ambient temperature at the point of use and other environmental factors. Charging times will also be affected by the charging curve (for example, once charging passes 80%, charging will slow to protect the battery's longevity) and will be longer if battery temperature activates safeguarding technology.

4The power available in the individual driving situation depends on variable factors such as outside temperature, temperature, state of charge and conditioning or physical ageing of the high-voltage battery. Deviations, in particular from the aforementioned parameters, can lead to a reduction in performance. The currently available power is displayed in the vehicle's power meter. The power output includes temporary power boosts of up to 35 kW (47 PS) for at least 10 seconds according to UN-GTR.21. Power output can be as much as 405 kW (550 PS) in launch control mode.

8The stated net battery energy content is a rounded value typical of the battery, regardless of the vehicle. It is determined with a constant load profile under defined boundary conditions and takes into account the full vehicle usable range of battery energy content until the vehicle comes to a standstill. The actual discharge energy may differ because it depends on the specific driving profile and the battery temperature.
