At the Leicestershire Cares Awards held in September at Winstanley House, Sytner Group took home three awards.
Sytner Group claims title of ‘Community Hero’ at AM Awards 2022
We’re delighted to announce that we have been awarded ‘Community Hero’ at the AM Awards 2022 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
The AM Awards recognise the industry’s biggest and most influential players and the event was a sold out evening, creating a great atmosphere and a chance for businesses to network and further understand the industry.
The Community Hero Award recognises the continued partnerships with charities and other community organisations that the group has continued and developed for years.
Throughout the years, Sytner Group has developed a community-minded culture, not only for colleagues but to benefit the community as well as making ‘Giving Back’ opportunities readily available for all.
This is reflected in the Group Aims and recruitment strategy by allowing Sytner Group to show support for the community, delight customers and colleagues by developing talent and building careers.
Melvin Rogers, Director of Human Resources at Sytner Group, said: “This is a fantastic achievement that we are so proud and humbled to receive from Automotive Management.
“We aim to delight customers and colleagues but also the communities in which we work and we are committed to getting involved in local activities. Not only does our involvement in local charities and organisations develop the community, but it also helps colleagues to grow in the knowledge that they’re helping others, it is hugely empowering.”
Recent initiatives that Sytner Group have embarked on include, a two year partnership with Leicester Pride, a £100,000 donation to Ben – the automotive charity, and colleagues taking part in the Fan Dance Race across the Brecon Beacons raising money for a colleague and Acorn’s Children’s Hospice.
Another fantastic initiative that Sytner Group offers colleagues is the opportunity to take one day a year, fully paid, to support a local good cause which can make a huge difference. The 80,000 hours that colleagues donate each year could transform the communities in which the business works.
