How long have you worked for Sytner BMW/MINI? 12 years.
How long have you been in your current role? 18 months.
What is your favourite part about your current role? Interacting with customers and colleagues, helping to coach and support the development of new members of the team whilst continuing to motivate and encourage the team in their growth in order to achieve their full potential.
What motivates you in the morning? The unknown, every day is different and not knowing what lies ahead is exciting.
Three words to describe yourself? Approachable, Motived, Driven.
What is your greatest achievement? Career: Achieving a place on the Aspiring Managers Programme, Personal: Watching my 3 year old develop and grow into a cheeky little boy
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be in your role? Believe in yourself, as long as you have the passion, determination and desire to learn anything is possible. There will be challenges however always remember these will pass
How have you seen the Automotive industry landscape change and evolve to engage more women? Sytner have moved with the times and has become a very diverse workplace, you can see this just by looking around your own businesses, As long as you are honest, respectful and have the right attitude you can achieve great things within Sytner.
Top tip for how you organise your days? Have a realistic to do list and try not to carry anything over, prepare the day before for as much as you can so you limit the surprises.
Top tip for working in the automotive industry? Be honest and true to who you are, engage with people and have confidence in your ability and if you’re not sure ask – there is no such thing as a silly question.
