The new ID.3 based on the modular electric drive matrix (MEB) truly is more mature in many ways thanks to the new ID. software: These include convenient charging functions such as Plug & Charge and practical applications which can also be added as upgrades after purchasing the vehicle.
Super Smart Technology
ID.3 upgrades via We Connect, whether navigation or smart air conditioning – with We Connect, you can continue to upgrade your new ID.3 with completely new functions even after you have purchased it.
The optional AR Head-up Display sends useful information straight into the windscreen's field of vision, making driving easier for you. High-tech meets reality: Digital information, such as direction arrows from the optional navigation system, is projected onto part of the windscreen. Now you have the directions displayed directly within your field of vision, in conjunction with the standard navigation system:
Your ID.3 lets you keep an eye on the important things. The augmented reality head-up display is part of the optional interior package and projects important information onto the windscreen directly into your field of vision. This information includes your current speed or important road signs.
In addition, with the standard navigation system, the augmented reality technology also enables you to see virtual direction arrows on the road surface. Now, these are even better integrated into the environment and are displayed exactly where you would drive or need to turn. This helps you to reach your destination with less stress and without your eyes leaving the road.
In addition to displaying the optional, assisted lane change thanks to Travel Assist, the augmented reality head-up display also shows new symbols such as roundabouts, the distance to your destination and also the battery’s charge level (state of; SOC).
ID.3 Says "Hello" with light
The ID.3 recognises you when you approach the vehicle with the key with the optional ‘Keyless Advanced’ locking and starting system. The stylish optional Matrix LED headlights light up briefly as if they were winking at you, making the ID.3 seem almost human. The ID.Light inside makes you feel welcome immediately. When you start, the vehicle makes a little sound to get you in the mood to get started. When you leave your ID.3, the ID.Light says goodbye with a light signal.
Net Carbon Neutral
The ID.3 fast charging battery has an impressive range of up to 336 miles, there are three battery size to choose from. The medium size battery can recharge a range of up to approximately 260 miles in 30 minutes in quick charge mode with direct current 100 kW performance. The larger size battery (77 kWh) has a range of up to 336 miles on a full charged. The new ID.3 is taking responsibility of Volkswagen's share of global carbon emissions.
Parking assistant
Now you can teach your ID.3 to perform recurring parking manoeuvres. The memory function for the optional Park Assist Plus is capable of saving up to 5 unique parking manoeuvres and can then repeat them independently under your supervision.

If you choose the Park Assist Plus with the memory function, your ID.3 is capable of identifying parallel parking spaces at a speed of up to 24 mph and parking bays at a speed of up to 12 mph. In addition, you can teach your car up to five individual parking manoeuvres. The memory function records parking manoeuvres at speeds below 24 mph with a distance of up to 50 metres. For example, when you park your car in a carport or a garage. You only have to park your Volkswagen once yourself and then save the parking manoeuvre. Afterwards, your ID.3 is capable of repeating the parking manoeuvre on its own. You only have to supervise the parking manoeuvre and intervene if necessary.
